Chandigarh, November 15
UT recorded two more deaths and 168 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 48 hours, in a clear indication that the pandemic which had shown signs of weakening in recent days is slowly but surely staging a comeback.
With this, the death toll in the city has risen to 248 while the caseload has climbed to 15,804. There are as many as 1088 active cases of the infection.
A medical bulletin issued here on Sunday said that a 67-year-old male R/o Sector 41, a case of Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Acute Chronic Kidney Disease, who tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER. In the second case, a 53-year-old female R/o Khuda Lahora, a case of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Metabolic Acidosis, who tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER.
Meanwhile, a total of 87 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
