The Government College of Nursing, Patiala organized a combined fresher and farewell ceremony for students of B.Sc. (Nursing) and Post-Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) students on 30 Nov, 2024 named ” Crescendo 2024″ Dr. Balwinder Kaur, Principal, Government. College of Nursing Patiala, extended a heartfelt welcome to all guests and students, providing an overview of the college.
Dr. Ramandeep Kaur Dhillon, Director Principal of Ajit Nursing Institue Sunam, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Other prominent dignitaries included Dr. Rajan Singla (Director Principal, Government Medical College) and Deputy Medical Superintendent, Rajindra Hospital, Patiala along with faculty from dental college and Psychiatric department of medical college who joined to encourage the students and added prestige to the event.
The fresher’s party commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamps by the guests. The chief guest warmly welcomed the students, emphasizing that nursing is a noble profession that combines service and respect while offering excellent career opportunities.
The coordinators of the event Mrs. Amandeep Kaur and Dr. Seema, all teachers and students of Government College of Nursing, Patiala played a pivotal role in ensuring that Crescendo 2024″ was a resounding success.
The farewell party featured a vibrant catwalk by nursing students and cultural choreography, adding color to the celebration. Performances of various traditional dances, Bhangra, and Giddha enthralled the audience. In the highly competitive farewell party, Sukhman Kaur and Amritpal Singh, fourth-year Nursing students, were crowned as Miss and Mr Farewell 2024. Aditi Pathi and Sidakpal Singh, were crowned as Miss and Mr Fresher 2024. The event ended with best wishes for new students and outgoing students.
