Chandigarh, April 25-UT recorded two more deaths and 749 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours on Sunday.
The death toll now stands at 435 and the caseload has risen to 38,692. The number of active cases of infection has risen to 5236.
According to a media bulletin issued here by the Administration, a 31 year old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 32, a case Severe Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Subcutaneous Emphysema expired at Shalby Hospital Mohali. A 51-year-old COVID positive Male R/o Daria, a case of Cardio Pulmonary Arrest, expired at GMCH 32.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 413 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
