Chandigarh, May 14
UT recorded nine more deaths and 650 fresh cases of coronavirus on Friday, taking the death toll to 617 and case load to 54043. There are as many as 8158 active cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin issued here, the nine victims were aged between 35 and 94 years. New cases of coronavirus were reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 925 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
