Chandigarh, 31 stOctober 2020:The Chandigarh Administration celebrated ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ i.e. the Birth Anniversary of the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel here at Sukhna Lake,today.
The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh Shri V.P. Singh Badnore was the Chief Guest on the occasion and accorded a warm welcome by the Adviser to the Administrator Sh.Manoj Parida followed by the police band.
After the National Anthem was played, the Chief Guest administered the pledge to all Senior Officials of Chandigarh Administration and to all present their. The Administrator motivated to follow dedicatedly towards ensuring the all round development of the country as did Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel whose lofty ideals of patriotism need to be followed in the letter and spirit by one and all
The Chief Guest also launched the One Nation One Ration Card scheme which was followed by the March Past by the Police Department.
The event was managed by Tourism Department,Chandigarh Administration and ensured that all the guidelines regarding COVID19 were followed by all.
