Chandigarh, December 5
UT logged two more deaths and as many as 98 more cases of coronavirus pandemic during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 289 and the caseload to 17,926. There are as many as 883 active cases of infection.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, a 94-year-old female R/o Sector 23, a case of Asthma, who tested COVID positive and expired at GMCH 32. In the other case, a 74-year-old male R/o Sector 47, a case of Diabetes and Heart Disease, who tested COVID positive and expired at Shalby Hospital, Mohali.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and villages around it.
Meanwhile, a total of 141patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
