Two more deaths due to coronavirus were reported in UT on Sunday. There were 96 fresh cases of the infection during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll in Chandigarh has risen to 276 while the caseload has increased to 17,342. There are as many as 1140 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, a 57 year old male R/o Sector 19, a case of Diabetes, who tested COVID positive and expired at PGIMER. In the second case, a 70 year old female R/o Sector 35, a case of Chronic Lungs Disease who tested COVID positive and expired at Command Hospital, Panchkula.
Meanwhile, a total of 69patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
