UT logged two more deaths and 95 fresh cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. With this, the death toll has risen to 243 and the caseload has climbed to 15, 434. There are as many as 958 active cases of infection.
According to a medical bulletin released here, a 73-year-old male R/o Sector 18, a case of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at Fortis hospital, Mohali. In the second case, a 52-year-old female R/o Dhanas, a case Diabetes, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
A total of 57 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
