Chandigarh, October 25
Coronavirus pandemic sweeping UT claimed two more lives during the past 24 hours. Sixty-one fresh cases of infection were also reported, taking the total number of cases to 14,038. There are as many as 653 active cases. The death toll has risen to 218.
According to a medical bulletin, a 73-year-old male R/o sector 44, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive expired at GMCH-32 on Sunday. A 70-year-old female R/o Sector 30, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMSH-32 on Sunday.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 80 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
