Chandigarh, October 24
UT reported two more deaths and as many as 57 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. The death toll has now risen to 216 and infection cases to 13, 977. This includes 674 active cases of the pandemic.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, a 78-year-old male R/o sector 48, a case of Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Saturday. A 57-year-old male R/o Sector 25, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMSH-16 on Saturday.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 78 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
