Chandigarh, December 21
Two more lives were claimed by coronavirus in Chandigarh on Monday. The city reported 55 fresh cases of the pandemic in 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has risen to 310 while the caseload has increased to 19, 128. There are as many as 387 active cases of the infection.
According to a medial bulletin issued here by the Administration, a 62-year-old COVID positive female r/o Sector 51, a case of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, has expired at, Mayo Hospital, Mohali. In the other case, a 70-year-old COVID positive male R/o Khuda Lahora, a case of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, expired at GMSH 16.
Meanwhile, a total of 101 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
