UT reported two more deaths and 119 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 164 and the total number of infection cases has climbed to 12,057. The figure includes 119 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, a 75-year old male r/o Sector 47, a case of Coronary Artery Disease and Hypertension, tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Wednesday. A 45-year-old male r/o Maloya, a case of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and Hydropneumothorax, tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a total of 196 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
