Chandigarh, November 13:-The surge in coronavirus cases in UT continued on Friday with the city reporting two more deaths and 93 new cases of the infection in 24 hours. The number of active cases has risen to 1,009.
With this, the death toll has risen to 246 and the caseload has increased to 15,636.
According to a medical bulletin issued here, a 66-year-old male R/o Sector 21, a case of Diabetes and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER. The other case related to a 60-year-old male R/o Dadu Majra Colony, a case of Asthma and Diabetes, who tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER.
Meanwhile, a total of 84 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
