Bathinda, September 13: Two Covid-19 death and 107 new cases were reported from the Bathinda district on Sunday even as 85 patients have been discharged from various hospitals in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 73. Taking the district total to 4107 about 1019 cases are active, and 546 cases have been shifted to other districts. 2469 petients have been cured and discharged. The Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasan informed that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from COVID-19. He said that 107 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours’ time. He further said that till date, a total of 45200 samples have been taken in the district under COVID-19, out of which a total of 4107 positive cases have been reported, out of which 2469 Corona victims have recovered and returned home. A total of 1019 cases are active in Bathinda and 546 cases have been shifted to other districts besides 73 Corona affected persons have died in the district so far. The Deputy Commissioner further said that in the last 24 hours, 554 negative and 85 corona affected patients returned home after recovery.
