Chandigarh, December 7
The UT reported two more deaths and 86 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. This has taken the number of deaths due to pandemic to 293 while the caseload had increased to 18,113.
There are as many as 921 active cases of the infection.
According to a bulletin released her by the Administration, a 72-year-old Covid positive female R/o Sector 47, a case of Chronic Liver Disease and Hypertension expired at PGIMER. The other case related to a 57-year-old Covid positive female R/o Sector 41, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension who expired at PGIMER.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 85 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
