Ferozepur, October 6, 2020: The Ferozepur district which witnessed a severe surge in Covid-19 cases in the past, the graph has started coming down for daily positive cases, with 22 today and 2 deaths. In the past months, the corona positive cases on the rising trend. However, there is also improvement in recovery which is now 89 percent.
As per the latest report, 44,817 samples were taken for testing since the outbreak of coronavirus in the district. Out of this, 40463 have been tested negative, 3905 positive, 3505 recovered, 291 active cases and results of 449 samples are still awaited. However, there had been a recovery of three positive patients also. The total deaths in the district so far are 109 including two of today of 18 years male of village Panjgrai in block Guruharsahai and 60 years female of Tega Singh Wala in Mamdot blocked.
Repeating to follow the medical protocols, DC Ferozepur Gurpal Singh Chahal said, it is the right time to maintain the downward trend of the graph of corona cases in the district and it could only be possible with the cooperation of the people by wearing a mask, hand washing frequently and maintaining social distance.
