Chandigarh: 30 July: The historic and visionary decision for 27 percent reservation for OBC and 10 percent for economically backward classes for medical students will benefit thousands of students and it reenforces the Prime Ministers commitment to uplift the disadvantaged segments of our society. Said Dr Subhash Sharma state general Secretary of of the BJP.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters Dr Sharma while regretting that the congress government in the state has failed to give requisite representation to the OBC’s . He further said that unfortunately Capt Amarinder Singh as a chief Minister has not implemented the central government’s directions to give constitutional status to the State BC commission as given to National Commission by Modi Government . By not following the directions of the central government it is clear that the congress does not Care for the betterment of the OBC’s and the state commission remains toothless.Said Dr Sharma. He promised that BJP will give the constitutional status when comes to power in state.
The senior BJP leader categorically said that the state has an 40 percent population of OBC ‘s and SC’s but unfortunately it is the most neglected segment of our society and Capt Amarinder Singh has denied it its “ rightful representation in all spheres of society “. The BJP will always be sensitive to understand that 40 percent people of the state are being given an unfair deal. Justice will be dispensed immediately on coming to power in the state by BJP.
