Ferozepur, February 23, 2021: Feeling concerned with the alarming statistics of deaths in road accidents at the global level and in India as well, the Mayank Foundation – a leading local NGO -after successful holding Seminars during a month-long National Road Safety Awareness, today a poster on National Road Safety Signs was released by Bhagirath Singh Meena, SSP, Ferozepur, in the presence of Foundation members, to be displayed at the Notice Boards of the various schools and colleges in the district.
On this occassion, Lakhbir Singh, Traffic Lecturer and Gurmej Singh, ASI were also honoured in recognition of their services in motivating the student during the month-long programme.
Appreciating the initiative of Mayank Foundation, SSP Meena said, Strengthening road safety measures with effective enforcement, is the need of the hour by reminding the people, from time to time, for the factors to be kept in mind to avoid road traffic injuries.
Deepak Sharma, founder of Mayank Foundation informed that after the month-long awareness on road safety measures, we will keep this ab a regular feature, now at least once a week to cover the remaining educational institutions, with the help of Traffic Police Section headed by Ravi Kumar DSP along with his staff.
In addition, the National Road Safety Sings poster released today will also be displayed at the Notice Boards of the educational institutions which will daily remind the students to follow the road safety rules as Role Model in this life, to bring down the death rate graph due to road accidents, said Sharma.
