Chandigarh, August 5
In a significant step towards reinforcing Social Justice and addressing key issues related to reservations, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, held an important meeting with the representatives of Reservation Chor Fado Morcha today.
The meeting, held at the Punjab Secretariat, aimed to discuss and deliberate on the pressing concerns surrounding the implementation and efficacy of reservation policies in the state. Dr. Kaur emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring social equity and justice for all marginalized communities, underscoring the importance of reservations in uplifting the socio-economic status of these groups.
During the discussions, the representatives of Reservation Chor Fado Morcha presented a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced by the communities they represent. Key topics included the need for better implementation of reservation quotas, addressing systemic barriers and ensuring that the benefits of these policies reach the intended beneficiaries.
Dr. Kaur assured the delegation that the government is steadfast in its resolve to address these issues. “Punjab Government dedicated to upholding the principles of social justice and ensuring that every individual has equal opportunities to succeed,” stated Dr. Kaur. “Our government is actively working on policy reforms and interventions that will bring about tangible improvements in the lives of those who have been historically disadvantaged” she said.
On this occassion Additional Chief Secretary Social Justice, Empowerment and Miniorities D.K. Tiwari, Director Amrit Singh,
Director-cum-Joint Secretary Raj Bahadur Singh and Deputy Director Ravinder Singh were present.
