SAYS, CHIEF MINISTER BHAGWANT MANN’S FOCUS ON PROVIDING BASIC AMENITIES AND A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT FOR THE STATE’S RESIDENTS

Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Minister of Local Government, announced that the Punjab government has approved an expenditure of approximately Rs 8 crore for development projects aimed at beautifying Bathinda.
In line with the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is steadfastly working towards providing essential facilities and a pollution-free environment to the people of the state. Development initiatives are underway across Punjab to accomplish this objective.
Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar stated that approximately Rs 1.21 crore will be utilized for general repairs of civil works in Zone No. 5, 6, 7, and 8. Additionally, an allocation of about Rs 1.06 crore has been made for the construction of missing DB paving interlocking tiles and general repair work in Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Furthermore, an amount of Rs 1.70 crore has been earmarked for the construction of sheds No. 7, 8, and 9 at the cowsheds in Har Rai Pur village, Bathinda. It will also be utilized for the cleaning of Road Gully chambers in Zone No. 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Other allocated funds include approximately Rs 4.06 crore for patchwork in Bathinda city, the provision of saplings for plantation, replacement of damaged poles on different roads in Bathinda city, and installation of LEDs in various areas. This amount will also cover the supply and installation of lights and other miscellaneous works.
The office process for these development projects has been initiated by the Department of Local Government. These efforts will enhance the city’s appearance and ensure the provision of essential amenities for the residents.
Dr Nijjar emphasized that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is committed to delivering a corruption-free administration to the people of the state. Therefore, any officer or employee found involved in corruption will face strict action without exception.
