STC office, PRTC and Punjab Roadways/PUNBUS received whopping Rs.4139.59 crore income between April 2022 to March 2023

Punjab Transport Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar, on Tuesday, said that the transport department has registered Rs.661.51 crore increase in income during financial year 2022-23 as compared to the FY 2021-22.
The Transport Minister said, during the previous financial year 2022-23, the department has registered 19.01 per cent increased revenue of Rs.4139.59 crore from its three wings i.e. O/o State Transport Commissioner (STC), Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) and Punjab Roadways/PUNBUS, which was remained Rs.3478.08 crore during the financial year 2021-22.
Divulging wing-wise details, S. Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the STC office had received a total Rs.2358.96 crore income between April 2021 to March 2022, which has increased to Rs.2631.18 crore during the financial year 2022-23. The increased revenue of Rs.272.22 crore becomes 11.53 percent, he added.
With an increase of Rs.235.49 crore during the financial year 2022-23, the Transport Minister said, the PRTC has collected Rs.807.53 crore against Rs.572.04 crore collection of April 2021 to March 2022, which becomes 41.16 percent increase in revenue.
While sharing the details of Punjab Roadways/PUNBUS revenue, Cabinet Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar said, the Punjab Roadways/PUNBUS had received Rs.547.08 crore between April 2021 to March 2022, and the revenue has further increased to Rs.700.88 crore during the financial year 2022-23. He said that with a total 28.11 percent increase, the collection was registered at Rs.153.80 crore.
The Transport Minister said that the transport department is on the path of progress with the transparent and seamless policies of the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann led government, and the department would further put on high growth trajectory.
