UT reported two more deaths and a record 239 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. With this, the death toll has risen to 59 and the infection tally has climbed to 4789. The figure includes 2057 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin released here, a 27-year-old male, r/o Sector 44, a case of Diabetic Ketoacidosis, COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Tuesday. The other case related to a 75-year-old male resident of Sector 23 who had a history of Hypertension, and tested COVID positive last week. He expired at GMCH-32 due to Type 1 respiratory failure on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 119 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals.
