Sri Muktsar Sahib, 01 August 20120: Former Hockey Captain and Arjuna Awardee Rajpal Singh assumed charge as Supt of Police (Investigation) at Sri Muktsar Sahib on Friday.Earlier, he had served as DSP (SD) Balachaur, (SD) Gidderbaha and DSP (D) Bathinda.
He is said to be one of the favourites of the IPS officers, due to his hard working approach.One of the sports stars of the Punjab Police, Rajpal Singh is considered as one of the competent and hardworking officers of the Punjab Police.Rajpal Singh hogged the limelight with a sterling show at his first international outing at the 2001 Youth Asia Cup. India won the cup at Ipoh, Malaysia, where he was also chosen player of the tournament, with seven goals in his kitty.
