• PSFC members will visit their assigned districts to ensure implementation of schemes: DP REDDY
CHANDIGARH, March 3:
The Punjab State Food Commission (PSFC) held a review meeting to take stock of the current status of implementation of all the major schemes under National Food Security Act 2013. The schemes include Rs 2 per KG wheat distribution, Mid Day Meals & Distribution of food to pregnant women & lactating mothers through Anganwadis.
While chairing the meeting at his office here, the Punjab State Food Commission (PSFC) Chairman Mr. D.P. Reddy, IAS (Retd), welcomed all the newly appointed members and apprised them about the working of the Commission. Members from PSFC including Mr. AK Sharma, Mrs Preety Chawla, Mrs Indra Gupta, Mr Vijay Dutt, Mr Chetan Prakash Dhaliwal and Member Secretary PSFC Mr Inder Pal, PCS, attended the meeting.
Mr. Reddy said that the members were assigned districts to review and oversee implementation of all the schemes and they will visit their respective allocated districts in order to take stock of current status of schemes.
Meanwhile, the Commission reviewed the status of complaints pending with the Commission and DGROs/ADCs (D). It was also decided to expedite the disposal of all the pending complaints.
