Lehragaga, April 28 – The Punjab government is set to bring two major infrastructure projects to Lehragaga, further solidifying its commitment to the state’s overall development.
This was disclosed here today by Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal.
Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal, along with Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Sandeep Rishi, SSP Sartaj Singh Chahal, inspected the proposed sites for the new sub-divisional complex and grain market in Lehragaga here today.
Giving more information about this, Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal said that with the construction of the sub-divisional complex, people will get all government services at one place. He said that at present, many government offices including the SDM office in Lehragaga are running in different places and rented buildings, for which the government has to pay a huge amount every month as rent, while people also waste money and time in covering the distance between one office and another. He said that the proposed sub-divisional complex will be equipped with modern facilities.
He said that similarly, the grain market will also be prepared at a suitable place as per the needs of the farmers.
Highlighting the government’s focus on border areas, Minister Goyal stated, “The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is committed to ensuring the overall development of the state, with special attention to border areas like Lehragaga.” He further apprised the public about the various initiatives undertaken by the state government to promote growth and prosperity.
These projects are expected to enhance the quality of life for residents, provide better facilities for farmers, and contribute to the region’s economic growth. Moreover, the relocation of the grain market outside the city is expected to alleviate traffic congestion within the city. The development of these facilities demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and services in the state.
