Chandigarh, October 5, 2020 : The Punjab Government has decided to close all COVID-19 care centres that were established outside hospital premises.
According to orders issued by Health Department, these centers have been told to shift Level-2 patients to government hospitals. Orders have been issued to close such centres from today itself. According to orders Volunteers who had been recruited on temporary basis, have been terminated.
When contacted Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare disclosed to Babushahi.com that number of patients at these centres had decreased drastically. He said that keeping in view present circumstances, this decision has been taken. He said that home isolation of patients apart from providing Corona kits has contributed in reduction of patients at these centers. He also disclosed that equipment at these centres will be transferred to government hospitals.
