Chandigarh, April 24, 2021:The state on Saturday reported 5,724 new COVID positive cases. 92deaths due to COVID were also reported from various districts of Punjab in the last 24 hours (Amritsar11, Bathinda-6, Faridkot-2, FG Sahib -1, Fazilka-3, Ferozpur-1, Gurdaspur-8, Hoshiarpur-5, Kapurthala-3, Jalandhar-6, Ludhiana-10, Moga-2, Mohali-11, Muktsar-3, Pathankot-2, Patiala-7, Ropar-3, Sangrur-6, Tarn Taran-2).
As per the medical bulletin of Punjab, total number of active cases in the state stands at 46,565. The total number of COVID positive cases till date are 3,32,110. The death toll in Punjab now reached 8,356.
The maximum number of cases was reported from Ludhiana – 861 followed by Mohali – 802.
