Chandigarh, March 1: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today appointed Prashant Kishore his principal advisor with an aim to return to power in 2021. Known for framing election strategy, Prashant Kishore is most sought after political analysit, presently working for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee.
Capt Amarinder Singh has tweeted to inform about the appointment of Prashnt Kishore as his principal advisor.
Capt Amarinder Singh had fought the previous assembly election with the slogan, it would be his last election. However after coming to power, he changed the stance and announced to try his luck in 2022. PPCC president Sunil Jakhar has also annouced that Capt Amarinder Singh will be party’s face in 2021. Congress has weeeped the Muncicipal elections held last month which became a turning point in the political approach of Congress.
Prashant Kishore had also worked for BJP in `2014 when he gave the alogan of ‘Achhe Din’ leading to victory of BJP and Narender Modi beconing the Prime Minister. He had helped AAP in Delhi to win the elections and now claiming that TMC will win the West Bengal elections.
He joined Janata Dal (United) in September 2018. He was expelled from the party on 29 January 2020 for criticizing party head, Nitish Kumar’s, supportive stand on Citizenship Amendment Act (2019).
