-ALL DSPs AND SHOs TO ADOPT FIVE VILLAGES EACH TO SENSITISE RESIDENTS
-RESOLUTIONS PASSED BY 98 VILLAGES/ COLONIES FOR COVID TESTING AND SUPPORT TO COVID WARRIORS
PATIALA, SEPTEMBER 13-
In order to counter the COVID rumors, SSP Patiala Vikram Jeet Duggal has devised a novel way of adopting five villages each at the level of DSPs and SHOs.
Divulging the details, he said that though we have booked rumor mongers but to make the residents aware of the seriousness of the CORONAVIRUS, we have initiated a sensitise campaign too.
He said the awareness campaign launched yesterday has got overwhelmed response from the community as 98 villages/colonies have resolved to get them tested surpassing all the rumors.
He said that during the fight against pandemic, we were combating all the difficulties coming in the way of safety of the residents. On the one hand, we are implementing lockdown and other precautionary measures and on the other hand we are sensitising the people of the rumors that have been spreaded deliberately by the anti-social elements to stop them from testing and treatment, he added. Amid all these things, it was heartening to note that in just a single day, 98 villages/colonies have passed such resolutions towards extending support to COVID testing and frontline corona warriors in their fight against the pandemic, said SSP Mr. Duggal.
He said that with the encouragement and support coming from the local Community, Patiala Police will continue its effort to seek cooperation from the Village Panchayats fighting the COVID collectively. He expressed hope that panchayats and residents welfare associations would definitely continue to extend their cooperation to beat the epidemic.
