PATIALA, DECEMBER 20: Continuing with the drive started last week, Patiala Police have achieved major success in CASO (CORDON AND SEARCH OPERATIONS) conducted in different areas of Patiala District. With the objective to dominate the area and wiping out criminal activity in area, 67 cordon and search operations have been conducted during the last two weeks.
Divulging the Details, SSP Patiala, Vikram Jit Duggal said that habitual criminals are being called to the concerned Police Stations for their attendance and to keep tabs on their activities.
“Search operations have led to the recovery of 1965 litres of Lahan, 96 bottles of Haryana made Liquor, 74 litres of illicit liquor, 3 working stills, 6 kg of poppy husk and 5000 intoxicant pills,” he added. Similarly, 25 FIRs have been registered and 20 persons have been arrested so far in these operations.
Mr. Duggal further said, “The objective of the entire exercise is to maintain vigil on the activities of suspects on one hand and to dissuade them from committing further offences or engaging in Anti-Social activities.”
“During the last two weeks, till 19-12-2020, 156 people have been called to the Police stations and counselled”, the SSP further added.
He assured that Patiala Police is committed to providing safe and secure environment to all citizens and assures that no stone would be left unturned to achieve this objective.
