Chandigarh, January 22
One more elderly female was claimed by coronavirus on Friday while 25 new cases of the infection were reported in Chandigarh during the past 24 hours.
The death toll now stands 332 while the caseload has increased to 20,664. There are as many as 137 active cases of the pandemic.
According to a media bulletin, an 80 year old COVID positive female R/o Sector 45, a case of Heart Disease, Hypertension, Diabetes and Kidney Disease, has expired at Cheema Hospital, Mohali.
The new cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the surrounding villages.
Meanwhile, a total of 33 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
