Chandigarh, March 1
UT recorded one more death during the past 24 hours as the number of active coronavirus cases crossed the 400 mark on Monday. There were as many as 69 new cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin issued here, a 75-year-old COVID positive male r/o Sector-21, a case of Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, and Chronic Kidney Disease expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
The new cases of the infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it. The number of active cases now stand at 430.
Meanwhile, a total of 19 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines
