Chandigarh, December 27
Coronavirus claimed the life of an elderly man while the city reported 65 fresh cases of the infection during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has risen to 316 while caseload has increased to 19,551.
There are as many as 379 active cases of the deadly infection.
According to a media bulletin issued here by the Administration, an 86 year old COVID positive male R/o Sector 37, a case of Severe Lung Disease with Hypertension, has expired at Cheema Medical Complex Hospital, Mohali.
New cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
