One more person fell prey to coronavirus in UT on Wednesday while the city reported 60 fresh cases of infection during the past 24 hours.
With this, the death toll has risen 224 while the caseload has increased to 14,212. The figure includes 629 active cases.
A medical bulletin issued by the administration said that a 60 year old female R/o Sector 16, a case of Multi Organ Dysfunction Syndrome and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali on Tuesday.
New cases of the pandemic have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
A total of 80 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines
