Chandigarh, January 1
UT reported one more death and 35 new cases of coronavirus on New Year day. A 75 year old COVID positive male R/o Sector 45, a case of Hypertension, Diabetes and Lung Disease expired at Cheema Medical Complex, Mohali, raising the number of total deaths due to the pandemic to 318.
The caseload has now risen to 19, 799. There are as many as 372 active cases of the infection.
/According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, the new case of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages around it.
Meanwhile, a total of 64 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
