An 89-year-old male R/o Sector 15, a case Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive has expired at Mayo Hospital, Mohali, taking the total number of deaths in UT due to pandemic to 278. The city also recorded 128 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
There are as many as 1086 active corona cases.
The fresh cases of the infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 103 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
