Bathinda, September 11: One Covid-19 death and 100 new cases were reported from the Bathinda district on Thursday even as 87 patients have been discharged from various hospitals in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 67. Taking the district total to 3902 about 1021 cases are active, and 495 cases have been shifted to other districts. 2319 petients have been cured and discharged. The Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasan informed that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from COVID-19. He said that 100 new patients have tested positive in last 24 hours’ time. He further said that till date, a total of 44066 samples have been taken in the district under COVID-19, out of which a total of 3902 positive cases have been reported, out of which 2319 Corona victims have recovered and returned home. A total of 1021 cases are active in Bathinda and 495 cases have been shifted to other districts besides 67 Corona affected persons have died in the district so far. The Deputy Commissioner further said that in the last 24 hours, 360 negative and 87 corona affected patients returned home after recovery.
