Chandigarh, December 9
Coronavirus claimed the life of an elderly woman on Wednesday taking the death toll in UT to 297. There were as many as 83 fresh cases of the pandemic. The caseload now stands at 18,322.
The city has 897 active cases of the infection.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, a70 year old Covid positive female R/o Dhanas, a case of fracture in the left forearm who was admitted in GMSH 16 has expired.
New cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 147patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
