Chandigarh, April 16
UT logged one more death as many as 481 new cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours as the corona surge continued unabated in the city.
The death toll in Chandigarh has now risen to 408 while the caseload has risen to 31878. There are 3423 active cases of the infection.
According to a media bulletin, a 53 year-old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 24, a case of Type-1 Respiratory Failure, Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension expired at PGIMER.
The new cases of infection have been reported from different parts of the city and the areas around it.
A total of 428 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
