Chandigarh, January 3
UT recorded one more death and 16 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday. There are as many as 281 active cases of the infection.
The death toll in the city now stands at 320 while the caseload has increased to 19,881.
According to a media bulletins issued by the Administration, a 58 year-old COVID positive male R/o Sector 61, a case of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus has expired at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 54 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
