The Punjab and Haryana High Court has not issued any stay on the new Liquor policy introduced by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Excise department said that the Punjab and Haryana High court has merely issued notice to the state government on petition filed by some people and no such stay has been imposed on the new liquor policy of the state. The news report regarding stay on liquor policy in a section of media is highly misleading and far away from facts, added the spokesman.
