Harassment of people in Revenue offices will not be tolerated: Revenue Minister

Punjab Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that the AAP government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to providing better administrative services to the people. Hence, undue harassment of people in the Revenue Department offices will not be tolerated.
Mr. Mundian said that in the wake of ongoing reforms in the Revenue Department, transfers of Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars were done yesterday. Still, it has come to his notice that many officers have not yet joined their duties. He has directed all the transferred Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars to immediately report to their new postings.
The Minister said that there would be no compromise on the issue of administrative services to be provided to the people. He said that he can check any revenue office from tomorrow and if anyone is found absent from duty during this surprise checking, then strict action will be taken against the concerned officer/employee. He said that indiscipline will not be tolerated at any cost.
