-EVERYDAY 150 TO 200 CORONA VIRUS CONFIRMATORY TESTS ARE CONDUCTED IN BARNALA

Barnala, July 17-Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr Tej Pratap Singh Phoolka today interacted with the residents of district Barnala live through facebook page of the District Public Relations Office Barnala and answered public queries on various issues related to covid. Civil Surgeon Barnala Dr G B Singh also present with him.
Deputy Commissioner said that Punjab government was working round the clock to defeat corona virus and emerge a winner in this hour of crisis for which various kinds of ban have been put in place to restrict public movement and control the spread of virus. He said that one should ensure wearing mask before moving out of the house, repeatedly wash hands and use sanitizer and maintain social distance.
Answering to the query of Barnala resident Amritpal Singh Sidhu he said that the district has two isolation wards, 2 quarantine centers and one covid care centers to deal with the corona patients. Similarly, another resident Deep Sidhu asked that how many number of tests for covid are being conducted in the district, to which the Deputy Commissioner told that daily 150 to 200 samples were being tested.
Another area resident Himanshu Dua raised issue of people moving in public areas without putting on their masks. Responding to the query, he was told that 5063 people have been challaned in district Barnala and challan amount worth Rs 23 lacs have been collected from them. Stickers have been put up at various places asking people to maintain social distancing.
Deputy Commissioner appealed the people moving in and out from Barnala to download Cova mobile application in their mobile phones. It enables them to generate e pass in times of moving in emergency.
He also appealed the people of Barnala to join Mission Fateh in cova app and become a part of the mass movement launched in Punjab to emerge winner in the times of covid infection. So far 7914 people have joined Mission Fateh in Barnala district and the assistant director youth services Vijay Bhaskar has bagged the first gold certificate of district. He added that the Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh has now added diamond certificate category to the contest.
He called upon people to partner with the Punjab government for putting corona virus infection at bay.
