Chandigarh, December 16, 2020: Health & Family Welfare Minister Punjab Balbir Singh Sidhu on Wednesday handed over the appointment letters to 106 candidates on regular basis.
Hussan Lal, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab was present on the occasion.
Health Minister stated that 106 appointment letters were issued today under the Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Yojna of Chief Minister Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh.
Of the 4,000 vacancies on regular basis, 50 Lab Technicians were recruited through Baba Farid University. 56 candidates recruited on compassionate ground included 51 Ward Attendants and 5 Clerks. He said that all these appointments have been made on a merit basis in a transparent manner.
Balbir Sidhu welcomed the newly appointed staff upon joining the department and urged them to behave politely with all patients and perform their duty with honesty in the Hospitals. He said that during the novel coronavirus, the staff of the health department has performed their duties dedicatedly which is laudable.
Health Minister further added that about 7000 recruitments were made in the Health Department under CM’s Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojna in the last 3 years which included Specialist doctors, Medical officers, Dental officers, paramedical and other staff on a regular and contract basis.
