30 Sep 2020-SSP Mansa Shri Surendra Lamba, IPS had told during the press release that in the presence of Shri Sagar Setia SDM Budhlada, Shri Baljinder Singh DSP Budhlada, Shri Gurjit Singh Rai Forest range Officer Mansa and other environmentalists today at Budhlada celebrated 71st Van Maha-Utsav. On the occasion of this great festival, various types of fruit, flower and shade giving plants were planted to make the environment clean and green. S.S.P. Mansa said that besides maintaining law and order, the police have been carrying out strict duties day and night to prevent the Covid -19 epidemic while also making significant contribution in social activities to save the environment. Under which more than 2000 shade and fruit saplings have been planted in police stations, outposts, Police line Mansa and offices. The responsibility of their maintenance has been handed over to every employee posted in that police station, outpost etc. Mansa Police has now set a target of planting more than 2000 saplings, under which marking is done at vacant space of police stations, outposts and police line Mansa and saplings will be planted soon.
S.S.P. Mansa informed that this campaign would also motivate the Sarpanchs/Panches of all the villages in the district, members of clubs, environmentalists and general public to join this campaign and plant saplings in all the vacant government / public places in the district and take care of. He said that every environmentalist must join this campaign and plant at least one plant so that we can make our surroundings green and keep the environment clean and tidy. This work done by all of us will be a noble endeavor to save our future generations from terrible diseases. He said he hoped the country would soon recover from the Corona epidemic and be prosperous and healthy again.
