Police sources said that it maybe suspected that Rajiv has committed suicide but still they are trying to trace him. On Tuesday morning, a 60 year old man hacked to death four of his own family members, including his wife, son, grandson and daughter-in-law. The accused is said to be a real estate dealer, who killed the four members of his family with a sharp edged weapon in his own house in Mayur Vihar area of the city.
The accused also allegedly left a suicide note, apparently to mislead the police as he reportedly did not commit suicide himself and escaped from the spot. The Police, quoting the alleged suicide note, claimed that the reason behind the macabre act is said to be the matrimonial dispute between his son and daughter in law.
His car was found burnt at Hambran Road. The police are yet to trace the accused and he is still believed to be “missing”.
