A day after the robbery attempt in gold loan finance company at Dugri road, the Police have conducted raids at various places for the arrest of absconding accused. The Police teams were sent out of Punjab also for the arrest of three absconding accused.
The three accused who were arrested revealed that they had come to Ludhiana from Bihar for robbery incident. Earlier, also they were involved in robbery cases in Bihar and other districts.
The Police said that eight teams were formed for the arrest of absconding accused. The Police have got vital clues about the accused and they will be arrested shortly. Meanwhile, Mahinder Singh and other employee of finance company who sustained bullet injury were admitted in DMC hospital and there condition is stated to be stable.
On Friday morning, six armed robbers barged into the office of private finance company on Dugri road and robbed gold worth Rs 14 crores and cash. With the bravery of Muthoot company employees and alert residents, the robbery bid was foiled and three accused were caught on the road. The robbers fired ten gunshots in which three person suffered bullet injuries and one person’s body part was fractured. The Police said that the bag containing gold was recovered from the robbers and another bag containing approximately one lakh was in possession of absconding accused.
The Police have recovered pistols, cartridges and motorcycles of the accused. Various teams were formed for the arrest of absconding accused.
