Chandigarh, September 18-UT reported four more deaths and 260 fresh cases of coronavirus on Friday. This has taken the death toll to 110 and corona tally to 9506. The number of active cases is 2978.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Administration, a 60-year old female r/o Sector 43, a case of Sepsis and ARDS, tested COVID positive, expired at GMSH-16 on Friday. A 15-year-old female child r/o Sector 52, a case of Sepsis and DIC, tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH-32 on Thursday. A 70-year old male r/o Sector 46, a case of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and hypertension, tested COVID positive, has expired at GMCH-32 on Friday. A 71-year old female r/o Sector 30, a case of acute coronary syndrome and lateral wall myocardial infraction, tested COVID positive, has expired at GMCH-32 on Thursday.
Fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from different parts of the city and the villages surrounding it.
Meanwhile, a total of 353patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
