UT logged five more deaths and as many as 55 fresh cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll has risen to 206 while the infection caseload has increased to13,532. The figure includes 974 active cases.
According to a medical bulletin issued here, a 49-year-old female R/o Mauli Jagran, a case of Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at PGIMER on Friday. A 49-year-old female R/o Sector 35, a case of Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32 on Friday. A 57-year-old male R/o Sector 41, a case of Hypertension and SARI, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32 on Friday. A 61-year-old female R/o Sector 56, a case of Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, who tested COVID positive, has expired at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula on Thursday. A 75-year-old male R/o Ramdrabar, a case of SARI and Hypertension, who tested COVID positive, expired at GMCH 32 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a total of 120 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
