Chandigarh, June 1
UT recorded five more deaths and 108 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday. Although the infection rate has been coming down steadily in Chandigarh in recent wakes, the high death continues to be a cause for worry.
There are now 1481 active cases of coronavirus. The death toll in Chandigarh has now risen to 758 while the caseload has increased to 60,154.
According to a media bulletin issued here, those who fell prey to the pandemic were between 26 and 82 years of age. The new cases have been reported from different parts of the city and the surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, a total of 389 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines
